Technology for unbound road base/top layers with high reclimed asphalt pavement content satabilization using fly ash and Portland cement
Viktors Haritonovs, Pēteris Šķēls

Description of the Technology

20 cm thick stabilized road surface layer construction hes to be performed by using cold recycling method in following stages - The following actions were performed: (I) preparation of existing top layer before construction of new stabilized layer; (II) delivery of new materials (RAP and dolomite aggregate); (III) distribution of materials according to layer composition in each full scale test section; (IV) distribution of min 1.5% of total mixture mass cement and max 20% of fly ash ; (V) cold recycling; (VI) surface profiling and roller compaction; (VII) top coating with bitumen.
