New inovative technology for producing biotextiles thread including amber thread
Inga Ļašenko

Description of the Technology

The product - amber composite threads, containing technologically processed amber, preferably succinite, with spherical shape of particles and particle size of 300-1000 nm, ground to size less than 1/3 of the filament fiber diameter, smoothly integrated into the thermoplastic polymer matrix, preferably polyamide 66 (PA66), with the following component ratio (wt%): nano-structured succinite - 0.1 – 10%, Polyamide 66 - 90 – 99.9%.

In another preferred case, the product - amber composite threads, containing technologically processed amber, preferably succinite, with spherical particle shape and particle size of 300-1000 nm, ground to size less than 1/3 of the filament fiber diameter, smoothly integrated in thermoplastic polymer matrix, preferably polyamide 66 (PA66), and organic or inorganic compounds with the following component ratio (wt %): nano-structured succinite - 0.1 – 10%, Polyamide 66 - 87 – 96.9%, Organic or inorganic compound – up to 3 %.

Applications

Developed amber composite threads, according to the invention is intended to expand assortment of textiles and it can also be used as a preventive material for a variety of skin changes, including the promotion of skin improvement in case of diabetes and textile production for surgical purposes.

Advantages

A new product type was developed: amber composite threads with a significant advantage compared to other known polymer composite threads. Amber composite threads characterized by a smooth surface that does not cause allergic reactions, stimulates the activity of the skin, promotes normal skin area regeneration, reflects ultraviolet rays, prevents the formation of clots in contact with platelets and which have biocompatibility with living tissue, in addition technologically processed succinite activity lasted longer than one year.
