Description of the Technology

The measurement system consists of a software-controlled oscilloscope and signal generator. The signal generator is used to generate test information sequences for transmission. The signal generator is connected to the transmitter module, while the oscilloscope reads the received data sequence on the receiver. The transmitter and receiver can be coupled via antennas, allowing for various measurements: performance over distance, multipath, while the receiver is moving, etc.

Applications

The system can be used to develop data transmission systems based on chaos phenomena for the Internet of Things (IoT) devices and wireless sensor network (WSN) nodes.

Advantages

The system offers a wide range of research parameters, measurement data is obtained automatically using the developed application and is easily available for post-processing. The system can perform measurements in the most common freely available frequency bands that are part of ISM bands: 433.05 - 434.79 MHz, 863 - 870 MHz, 902 - 928 MHz, and 2.4 - 2.5 GHz. It is possible to perform measurements for WSN sensor nodes that use chaos for data transmission.
