Description of the Technology

The methodology of self-assessment of the SME organizations and business is based on the systemic approach, according to which the organization governance model consists of nine interrelated elements (Business model; Target market and customers; Strategy; Products and services; Processes; Employees; Steering Group; Development Roadmap; Financials; and they are linked by tenth element - IT systems and technologies).

The methodology for organizational and business development includes six consecutive steps: (1) Building a common understanding; (2) Analysis of the current situation; (3) Evaluation of development priorities; (4) Planning for organizational and business development; (5) Managing Change; (6) Organization Development Review. In line with the complexity of situation and capabilities of the company, each step can be implemented in a simpler or more comprehensive level.

During self-assessment, each of the elements of the organization's management model is evaluated in two dimensions – what approaches are implemented, and what are the results. Also, development planning covers both the improvement of the organization's management approaches and the improvement of results.

The methodology used to analyse and improve the performance of an SME company is simple enough and at the same time effective.

The results of self-assessment, development priorities, as well as development plans are created and presented in a transparent visual format, which contributes to the formation of a common understanding in the management group and facilitates the management of future communications and changes.
