The invention is related to the electrical engineering field, and in particular to sensors for liquid leakage detection, which are intended to be connected to electronic devices. Sensor for liquid leakage detection is proposed, which contains anode electrode and cathode electrode, between which an electrochemical reaction starts in the presence of liquid, which is distinct in that the anode electrode is made of aluminium-coated textile material, the cathode electrode is made of silver-coated textile material and is inserted into cathode cotton jacket, which contains carbon granule and NaCl mixture; besides that the cathode electrode and anode electrode are inserted into cotton jacket. The invention is intended for use in smart textiles, e.g. children enuresis pads, diapers or frozen product monitoring.
