The invention relates to detection sensor industry, in particular to equipment for detection of volatile alcohols. The offered invention - photoactive device consisting of a photoactive layer of oxide nano particles and surfactants on conductive electrodes and an integrated light source. The photoactive oxide nanoparticles and surfactants layer inside sensor device, changes electrical resistance when exposed to a gaseous medium. The device, described in this abstract, is intended for detection of alcohols at room temperature.
