Method and apparatus for treatment of materials with the help of pulsed electromagnetic field

The invention relates to the field of powder metallurgy and, in particular, to methods and devices for high-speed (pulsed) material processing.
The proposed method consists of employing a pulse of a high-energy electromagnetic field to accelerate powder particles or a mixture of powder. Apparatus can perform the process in a vacuum or protective atmosphere. The inventors propose the apparatus with a vertical position of the pipe to implement the method. The invention provides the transfer of powders characterized by low electrical conductivity and low magnetic permeability.
The invention can be used to produce composite materials, for example, by forming coatings on surfaces of metal and ceramic materials.
