The integrated management system is a part of the total organizational management system which corresponds to two or more international standard requirements for management systems and it works as a whole. First of all they include ISO 9000 family of quality management standards, ISO 14000 ecological management systems, international occupational health and safety management OHSAS 18,000. The integrated management systems ensure coherence of the necessary procedures and create basis for stable development of a company. The aim of implementing integrated quality, environment and health system in a company is to reduce and manage the impact of the company’s activities on the environment and the employees’ health, to promote the company as being environmentally safe, as well as to monitor and eliminate hazards in the workplace, to ensure the process of minimizing constant risks. Systematic and structured management is the best way how to reduce the risk of emergency situations, to ensure employee health protection and to observe safety in the workplace. Implementation of integrated systems allows to significantly reduce production risks. The effect of the integrated system can be explained by ‘systematic’ solution of safety issues. Management systems are effective tool in risk management and reduction of their occurrence because they are based not on principles of reaction and ‘fire elimination’ but on systematic and logic approach thus reducing the risk of possible emergency situations.
