In the period when the country has to cope with the consequences of economic crisis, almost every company in Latvia has to face certain problems and actively look for new, more efficient solutions to maintain and improve their place in business. The most important steps are the optimization of company costs, use of new technologies and enhancement of working environment. When costs are optimized by introducing new technologies and increasing the quality of working environment, the companies economize on their resources and increase their efficiency. In recent years the analysis of workplace lighting is being carried out due to rapid changes of lighting technologies, so that each company can find the most suitable way how to improve the quality of lighting and economize their costs. When improving the lighting of the workplace, the use of LED technologies is being considered.
