Terminology Prerequisites to Clothing Assortment Modelling

On the basis of semiotic approach there are described differences between the common and terminological vocabulary representing basic level concepts of clothing. The terminological corrections have been used to enhance development of textile terms and definitions for the Latvian terminology data base www.letonika.lv meeting intra-, inter- and extra lingual requirements of the terminology. The harmonization of concepts and terms is a prerequisite to perfectibility, dissemination and continuity of object-oriented cognitive models within the oncoming assortment research.
