Support Schemes for Renewable Energy in Europe and Their Economic Efficiency

Increased use of renewable energy sources is important in the context of economic growth. In order to enhance electricity production from renewable energy sources, there is a need for support since the cost of green electricity generation is high. The paper analyses different support mechanisms in Europe and assessess their effectiveness in delivering more green electricity.
