The authors consider opportunities of application of the Balanced Scorecard Method for Latvian small and micro enterprises. Latvian small enterprises (SMEs) play a significant role in national economy. This paper deals with the problems of performance measurement systems as a method for enhancement of effectiveness of business activities. Nowadays business performance measurement systems contain key performance indicators (KPIs). Each enterprise must create its own set of KPIs, including financial and non-financial indexes. The authors offer to work of a unified set of KPIs, which will enhance the level of economic and information provision of SME. Designing a system, KPIs are examined on the base of production of plastic constructions.
