Shear strength of three layers wood veneers / environmentally friendly hot melts / wood veneer systems joined as a single lap joints were investigated in present work Birch wood veneer was chosen as a substrate. It was found that optimal technological parameters for production 3 layers plywood specimens were 2-3 min. times of contact, contact temperature 1800C and pressure 8 MPa. Numerical values of shear strength of specimens containing biodegradable hot melts adhesives based on polylactic acid and benzylated cellulose natural fibers are about 7,6 MPa for polylactic acid, 5 MPa for benzylated cellulose fibers which are more higher than for industrial specimens bonded with phenol-formaldehyde resins. For plywoods containing polypropylene hot melts used as reference specimens with different fluidity shear strength values were 8,7 MPa and 6,9 MPa. Results of water resistance experiments depend on method of test. Water treatment at 200C during 24 h practically does hot influence adhesive strength of samples. Boiling process during 4+4 h overcome only specimens bonded with polylactic acid but benzylated cellulose fibers thermoplastic adhesives containing samples destroys. 72 h boiling in water influence endure only industrial plywoods and samples with polypropylene hot melts adhesives. It means that these plywoods are valid for usage in outdoor conditions (3-rd class water resistance).
