The investigational object of the article is the tax system in Latvia. The subject of the research is tax system admininistration. Need for the institution which would execute tax administration function appeared with the creation of the tax system. It is important to fulfil goals that are defined in tax strategies. One of the opportunities to check how effectively tax system is administered is to carry out the evaluation of the tax system administration efficiency and its problem analysis.
