Model-Based Supply Chain Management
2011
Oksana Kuzņecova

The paper is focused on application of modelling and simulation approaches in supply chain management. First, essentials of multi echelon supply chain management are discussed including the functionality of supply chain information systems. Then, a variety of modelling and simulation approaches are analyzed in the context of supply chain management, for example, simulation, stochastic programming, business process modelling and reference model. Finally, some illustrative examples are provided on application of simulation and modelling approaches to supply chain management.
