The monograph is devoted to the attendees of the course “Microprocessors - based Automation Systems (EEP504)” included in the program “Computerized Control of Electrical Technologies” delivered in Riga Technical University. The material is also usable as reference and training text book for everybody studying the microprocessor technique at entry level. In the monograph the architecture of MSP430, their processor and its command system, as well as basic peripheral devices are described. Big attention is paid to basic assembler programming skills as well as to basics of assembler arithmetic. There are a lot of practical examples of MSP430 utilization described in the book.
