The purpose of this study is to investigate and produce lightweight, ecological composite materials (hemp concrete) by using building lime, cement as binding agents and hemp (Cannabis sativa) shives as a renewable raw material from agriculture. As a result of the research, composites based on cement, lime and hemp shives have been elaborated that can be used as a material for frame walls. There have been investigated material properties such as compressive strength, density and thermal conductivity.
