The objective of this study is determine the influence of the flood duration and the shape of hydrograph on local scour development in time at hydraulic structures under clear-water conditions. Based on our method for estimating the scour development with time, computer modeling of the scour process under unsteady flow conditions for the floods with different duration and shape of hydrograph was made. It was found that duration and shape of hydrograph affects the scour parameters.
