To environmental risk management system to become more efficient, it has become part of the overall bank management system, which is also attributable to the organizational structure, planning activities, responsibilities, practices, procedures, processes and resources. Such a system will allow the banks to clearly define its goals, policies, plans, resources allocated, as well as trained and knowledgeable staff. A study conducted in Latvian banks authors found that: 1) environmental factors are ignored when examining and adopting corporate lending decisions, and do not apply different interest rates for environmentally friendly and environmentally unviable loans, 2) the company's annual accounts of the importance of direct quantitative data bearing in mind the qualitative information , which together form the image of the company and part of the environmental factors.
