Block Synchronization Using a UniqueWord for a Generalized Unitary Rotation Based Communication System

Generalized Unitary rotation (GUR) provides a method for construction of unitary transformations in parametric multicarrier communication systems. Such communication systems require special timing offset estimation and correction schemes, since a unitary transform in those systems is dynamic. Moreover, they demand higher timing accuracy than traditional time domain and frequency domain approaches. This contribution proposes block timing offset estimation and a correction scheme suitable for GUR based parametric communication systems with block-wise transmission.
