Abstract Titanium dioxide is one of the most important inorganic product in chemical industry. It is widely used in various fields of development of materials - in photocatalysis, biomaterials, self-cleaning elements and in electronics. Many of useful TiO2 properties arise from various defects in its structure such as nonstoichiometry.
