Abstract | Extensive research in Hepatitis B virus core-antigen (HBcAg) synthesis particularly the field of optimization and the development of technological process are not well described in the literature. HBcAg expression system has high potential utility, which is being actively explored through recombinant vaccines, where the HBcAg has been shown to produce virus-like particles (VLP) used as a carrier for different virus immunoepitops. Biotechnological aspects in the field of recombinant protein production were analysed in this work, which includes the investigation of factors for the production of VLPs formed by recombinant Hepatitis B virus core-antigen HBcAg in inducible bacterial (E.coli) expression system. Expression system E.coli RB791 IS104-31 used in this study is based on the expression plasmid pQE60 (Qiagen) basis, where the transcription of HBcAg gene is controlled by T5 promoter and two Lac operators. |
