Architectural heritage of Riga would grace any metropolis proud of its architectural excellence. Riga has also clearly perceivable, precise urban structure. 19th and 20th century architecture of Riga is analyzed in artistic and stylistic context. Manifold but homogeneous built up environment of Riga, especially structures of the second half of 19th and first half of 20th century is outstanding achievement of European urban culture.
