Lithium-ion battery pack parameters of particular electric vehicle – electric kart, are considered. Because of the importance of battery pack performance and the critical operation parameters cell balancing is absolutely necessary. Different methods of cell balancing are discussed. The proposed cell balancing method for particular battery pack is discussed in detail. Both hardware and software operation of the cell balancer is explained.
