Power Engineering Education in Latvia

The area of interests of the Latvian National Committee of the World Power Engineering Council contains power resources, their rational application and its dynamics but the questions of education in this sphere as well. Power resources of each state more or less define the necessary amount and qualification of specialistsengineers. For example, in Latvia it is impossible to obtain the qualification of an engineer of coal mining or nuclear reactor operator, as there are no power resources of these types at all.
