Methods for controlling the motor speed with the aid of thyristor commutators in stator circuits are reviewed. A comparative choice of the optimal voltage control circuit for 75-125 kW motors is made. A symmetrical voltage control circuit with the phase control of series-opposing connected thyristors in each phase of the motor is recommended.
