The development of real estate market directly depends on the country’s socio-economic, legal and political situation that is reflected in terms of the national economic indicators and demonstrates the overall economic growth or recession. The nature of country’s economy and its trends are reflected in the real estate market situation: if the situation in the real estate market worsens, in the near future economic recession initiates, and vice versa - if the real estate market experiences growth, economic recovery takes place. At a national level, Latvia has not elaborated the real estate market development policy, planning documents concerning real estate market development and its expediency evaluation, as well as the management system of real estate market development. All the above-mentioned aspects determine the necessity to solve theoretical and practical problems of the management system of real estate market development in Latvia and to analyse issues concerning further development of the real estate market. Insufficient research and lack of real estate market development policies in the field of business condition the choice of theme of the Thesis and its topicality.
