A brief review of the state and development of Powder Metallurgy is given. The experimental and theoretical results of the influence of the 3D surface roughness parameters of powder iron-copper details on the wear intensity are presented. It is shown that the higher wear intensity is achieved for iron-copper powder details after infiltration, i.e. after the final stage of production. Nevertheless, the achieved results show the possibility of successful use of such details for different applications in industry.
