The publication provides information about implementation of the European Parliament and Council Directive on energy efficiency 2012/27/ES in Latvia. Diverse graphical information of the article provides insight into the European Union Member States' energy benchmarking. Thoroughly planning of energy efficiency enhancing measures is very important for achieving savings of primary energy with the greatest return on investment. Latvian most promising areas of long-term savings are heating and transportation. As to the electricity sector, clients can be offered to use devices with high energy efficiency.
