Temporal stability analysis of shallow mixing layers is performed in the present paper. It is assumed that flow is slightly curved along the longitudinal coordinate. In addition, friction force is assumed to be varied in the transverse direction. The corresponding linear stability problem is solved by a collocation method. Marginal stability curves are obtained for different values of the parameters of the problem. Combined influence of curvature and variable friction on the stability boundary is investigated. It is shown that both curvature and variable friction stabilize the flow.
