The task of application modern information and communication technologies is a challenge for existing transportation systems of all levels. Main reasons of ITS development are related with need to establish sustainable transport systems concept, as it is declared by EU guidelines as the only way for development of future transport system. Here must be understood that different aspects of transportation could be covered, at example: management of urban traffic flows; optimization of transportation process (logistics area); green technologies in vehicles, transport flow management and etc. In frame of the research the first mentioned above case will be discussed. The first case-study is based on application of sensor technologies for collecting data about traffic flows. The obtained information could be usefully integrated in existing management of traffic flows structure from single traffic control center. More over obtained data could be used as a source of data for modeling of different traffic management alternatives. In this case model will be based on the short-term forecasting tool. Here is necessary to combine four elements of the system: sensor technologies, data transferring, simulation of traffic flows and decision making. Also the integration different additional services in the single system are important for system flexibility. In frame of current research the concept of the on-line traffic management system is developed.
