There is a wide use of biomaterial implants – catheters, heart valves, stents,
shunts and fracture fixation devices, and their use is becoming ever more popular and often are life
saving procedures. The aim is to compare the antibacterial efficiency of hydroxyapatite biomaterial
saturated with gentamicin and polylactic acid and hydroxyapatite biomaterial saturated with gentamicin.
Keywords
