type, etc.) cause significant impact on household electricity consumption. The current paper aims at enhancing a more detailed evaluation in order to draw conclusions about factors affecting household electricity use, in particular, taking into account selected households’ characteristics by differentiating among typical heating types. Multiple regression analysis is used to present and compare results between two groups – a target group with smart meters and a control group without smart meters that are participating in the JSC “Latvenergo” pilot project “Promoting energy efficiency of household using smart technologies” (further – pilot project).
