Konference "Vides zinātne un izglītība Latvijā un Eiropā": tēžu krājums 2014
Anna Kubule, Jūlija Gušča

To promote students' understanding of current environmental issues, active participation and analysis ability, the first-year undergraduate Environmental Science students in Riga Technical University annually perform the Green Patrols by surveying the green areas of Riga and mapping the waste. The Green Patrols allow students to practically assess environmental pollution and to understand the importance of communication in solving environmental problems. Additionally, students analyze information about foreign experience and make recommendations for clearing of green areas and other innovative pollution prevention solutions.
