The monograph in extended format tells about one of the most significant Latvian cultural heritages over the centuries – the building art of German origin architects in Latvia. Latvian and German international cultural dialogue has shown in the context of architecture, positioning Latvia as a space for successful creative expression not only in the past, but also today. This book is a message also about interaction of history and culture, as well as about „the language of architecture” as a typical instrument of its creator used for expression its cultural uniqueness and national identity over a time. The monograph contains text in both German and Latvian languages.
