The following paper describes kinds of independent work of students, its motivation and organizational technology, forms of results. The main attention is devoted to e-technology use of students' independent work in different stages, namely: an e-mail, FTP servers, local and global computer network facilities, Moodle platform and its benefits. The article describes the features of the development of teaching materials for use in a Moodle environment.
