Betulin is naturally occuring triterpene found in the outer layer of birck bark. Betulin itself has shown anti-HIV-activity an certain cytotoxicity. On the other hand, azole heterocycles are a well-estiblished pharmacophores, thank to their non-covalent binding with various receptors and enzymes.
