This entry focuses on the three most significant quality and service awards established in Russia after the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991: (1) the Russian National Quality Award (RNQA), (2) the All-Russia Mark (III millennium) Quality Award of the 21st Century, and (3) the contest based on the program 100 Best Goods of Russia. The collapse of the Soviet Union, with the consequent changes in the Russian political system and economy at the end of the 20th century, and the active involvement of Russia in the global economy accentuated the problem of product and service quality in Russia as one of highest priority.
