Knights’ Orders subjugated to the Pope were founded in Livonia and Prussia for the implementation of Crusaders’ policy that built financially and economically independent stone fortresses with chapels in the conquered lands inhabited by the Balts. The goal of the research: to analyse the construction structure of the Livonian and Prussian Bishoprics and Order States’ fortified power centres in order to determine the common and different characteristics of the built chapels.
