Front-end Converter Choice Considerations for PMSG-based Micro-Wind Turbines
2015 56th International Scientific Conference on Power and Electrical Engineering of Riga Technical University (RTUCON) : Proceedings 2015
Alvis Sokolovs, Linards Grigāns

In this paper authors investigated how output power capability of two different micro-wind energy systems with permanent magnet synchronous generators depends on choice of front-end converter. Two converter topologies were considered: passive diode bridge rectifier and active rectifier. A comparison of output power and generated energy potential is given and analyzed for desired location.
