After long time absence of teeth alveolar bone resorbs and ridge deformities as knife edge ridge develops.
The width of the resorbed alveolar crest necessary for dental implant placement can be achieved with onlay bone grafts, membrane techniques, bone distraction and bone splitting. Granules of synthetic bone substitutes may be challenges for substitution of autologous bone grafting as in our case report.
