Pepsinogen Levels in Patients with Gastric Adenocarcinoma

Decreased pepsinogen (Pg) levels indicate gastric atrophy and are suggested for gastric cancer screening, particularly for intestinal type of gas- tric cancer. To achieve high sensitivity of the screening, the majority of gastric cancer cases would be expected to present with low pepsinogen levels.
