The combined effect of small curvature and confinement on the stability of shallow mixing layers under the rigid-lid assumption is investigated. It is shown that confinement has a stabilizing influence on the flow.Curvature increase also has a stabilizing influence on the flow. Thus, both factors (confinement and curvature) play a stabilizing role.
