Osteoporosis is the most prevalent metabolic bone disease in the world involving all parts of skeleton by progressive loss of bone mass, increased bone fragility and fracture risk. A number of new approaches is being explored for the prevention of fractures in osteoporotic bones.
Objective: to define whether local use of Calcium – phosphate biooceramic material in the greater trochanter region influences on the biomechanical properties of the lower jaw at rabbits with experimental osteoporosis.
