The last years of his life he was a professor at the University of Latvia and worked there as the head of the chair of astronomy. In 1946 he has begun to work in the newly founded Academy of Sciences in Latvia. In the article the author wants to give some information about his family and especially his sisters and about the movements of the Latvian administration to have him leave England and come back to Latvia. The author will work on documents from archives which have not been used before.
