For many years, the life and work of docent Aleksis Anteins (1915-2002) have been associated with the Department of Metal Technology of the University of Latvia and Riga Polytechnic Institute, where he delivered a course of lectures on metals technology. A. Anteins is known as an excellent lecturer and the creator of the terminology of metal processing. His great contribution was the promotion of technical sciences and the research of the history of metals processing technologies. A. Antein’s books have been very useful for many engineers and historians. Docent A. Anteins was a Member of the Latvian Association of the History of Sciences.
