Software development similarly as requirements for software are constantly evolving and software development companies are trying to keep up with software development methods. Development methods used decades ago can`t handle modern development projects at level, which is required by constantly increasing requirements of the customer. Projects in the development often had problems with delivering on time and delivering the product, which corresponds to customer requirements. Software development gurus created the “Agile Software Development Manifesto” in February of 2001 with 12 fundamental principles, to which the new method should correspond. Twelve principles defined how agile software development process should look like, but did not specify precisely how to achieve it. Given that there is no certain way exactly to transform software development company into company, which uses agile methods and thus becomes agile, then each company chooses its own path of transformation from traditional software development to agile software development model. It is hard or sometimes even impossible for the company to determine how far the company is with transformation process and how successful is the process. Until now, there has been no way to successfully identify software development company’s agility level so that this can, if necessary, be improved. To solve the problem, the method Organization domain agility (ODA) is created. To some extent, the use of this method may help to determine current agility level of the software development company, thus helping prepare agility improvement plan. Iterative approach gives an opportunity to assess the level of organization agility on regular basis. The ODA method uses Organization agility model (OAM), which has been evaluated by agile method experts (AME) and information about particular organization, which in regular intervals is given by employees of the organization.
