Abstract Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy is an important tool to evaluate reaction kinetics and products in calcium phosphate synthesis and cementation. In this study, we evaluated samples with vibrational spectroscopy: transmission FTIR, attenuated total reflection (ATR) and diffuse reflectance infrared Fourier transform (DRIFT). Each technique characterized vibrations of PO43-, CO32- and OH- to detect absorbance bands.
