The instrument of technology audit aims at identifying industrial and technological strengths and weaknesses in order to support policy makers in designing an appropriate strategy for the restructuring of science and industry and for future technology policy. The significant element of technology audit is the analysis of strengths and weaknesses of R&D systems, which can be the essential feature for facilitation of technological development in the economics of Latvia
