Defect Analysis on Latvian Railway, Research on Defective Rail

The report focused on the study of the defective rails on the Latvian Railway. The analysis of defects on the Latvian Railway by eight sections of the division during 2013, 2014, and 2015 has been performed in the paper. Statistics data about defective rails have been collected and processed. The main classification of defects was considered, the interpretation of each type of defect was analyzed separately. The graphs analyzing quantitative classification of defective rails in each division were built. The aim of this paper is the study of the isolated defective rail.
